Paul’s childhood has been full of challenges.Abandoned by his mother as a toddler, he grew up with his father. Despite hisfather’s efforts to care for him, Paul faced neglect and mistreatment from hisstepmother, which made home life unsafe and frightening.

In addition, his father suffered serious accidentsthat left him unable to work and care for Paul properly. With no one to protecthim at home, Paul often feared for his safety and had to run away to escapedanger.
