Ruth
Ruth is the youngest in her family and was born into a life marked by loss and rejection. Her father passed away in February 2015, just six months before she was born. The news of her pregnancy came to her mother shortly after the funeral—bringing both emotional pain and serious social pressure.
While Ruth’s two older brothers were accepted by their paternal relatives, Ruth was not. The family refused to believe she was their late son’s child and rejected both Ruth and her grieving mother. This deep emotional wound left Ruth’s mother isolated and struggling to care for her children.
Over time, with counseling and support, Ruth’s mother began to recover and rebuild her strength. In 2023, Ruth was enrolled in the Education Support Program at Good Future and Hope, where she began to thrive. She showed promise in school and responded well to emotional support. But in January 2025, due to financial constraints and the absence of a sponsor, Ruth had to be withdrawn from the program.
Today, Ruth remains under her mother’s care but is not attending school. She faces serious challenges—academic delay, lack of basic resources, and the long-lasting effects of rejection.
Ruth is a resilient young girl who dreams of going back to school and building a better future. With the help of a sponsor, she can regain the stability and support she needs to grow in confidence and continue her journey forward.
By sponsoring Ruth, you give her more than education—you give her belonging, encouragement, and the chance to thrive.
